“I Won’t Be Left Behind!”
Christina “Tina” Sweet lived a life dedicated to family, service, and community. After leaving her life as a nun, she married Ray Bendig in 1971 and raised four children in Woodslee, balancing a teaching career and later work with the VON, where her passion for palliative care began. Tina’s volunteerism spanned decades, from the Catholic Women’s League to Hospice, where she touched countless lives with her warmth and commitment. After Ray’s passing in 2015, she embraced travel and deepened her dedication to giving back, leaving a legacy of generosity through charitable bequests. Tina’s life was a testament to strength, joy, and purpose, ensuring her impact lives on.
