The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County officially concluded the 17th annual Face to Face campaign Wednesday with the announcement that $110,000 was raised.
That brings the total raised over the 17 years of the program to $1.2 million.
The campaign supports the Hospice’s Fairley Family Transportation Program which provides more than 9,000 rides to patients and their caregivers, bringing them to medical appointments, treatments or to the Hospice Wellness Centre for programs.
“This community always manages to go that extra mile for us,” said executive director Colleen Reaume.
“Every year our team of dedicated canvassers and sponsors come together to support the people of Windsor and Essex County. We are so grateful for the kindness shown to our Hospice and the Fairley Family Transportation Program. We hear so many heartfelt stories from our patients and families describing the program as life-changing for them. Thank you Windsor-Essex, you are shining examples of generosity.”
