September Education Session
Understanding Dimentia
Dementia refers to a set of symptoms that are caused by disorders affecting the brain. It is estimated that over 750,000 people in Canada live with dementia and this number is expected to rise to
one million in the next five years. As healthcare providers and caregivers, we need to understand dementia so that we are better able to support the person living with the dementia and to have the capacity to provide quality, memorable care at the end-of-life.
