Talking About Death Won’t Kill You: The Importance of Communicating Care
A palliative approach to care invites a different kind of communication, one grounded in deep listening, and accompaniment rather than fixing or persuading. This presentation focuses on how we can support families through emotionally complex conversations, including expressions of fear, hope, guilt, and uncertainty. Participants will consider the role of presence and reflect on how compassionate communication can foster trust, meaning, and a sense of not being alone at the end of life.
