How Many Goodbyes Can One Heart Hold? Exploring the Hidden Emotional Toll of Caring in Palliative Care
Caring for others at the end of life is deeply meaningful work, but it also asks something of the heart. Over time, the accumulation of goodbyes and shared human moments can leave a lasting emotional imprint, regardless of whether we pause to acknowledge it. This session explores the often unspoken experience of grief in caregiving roles across healthcare and community settings, and how repeated exposure to loss can shape our well-being, relationships, and sense of purpose.
