Mind Matters: An Introduction to Managing Your Mood Teen's Grief Support Group Road Ahead: Living with Cancer Cultural Competence and Diversity in Palliative Care
A three-part education session designed to help people improve their coping through managing their mood. Peer support, education, activities, and empowerment for adolescence experiencing the death of a loved one. An education session offering tips and strategies for managing health, enhancing emotional wellness, and navigating community and healthcare supports.  Gain insight into applying a culturally competent lens when supporting diverse individuals and families within a Hospice and palliative care realms.
Criteria: Living with a life-threatening diagnosis, such as cancer Criteria: Ages 13-17 CriteriaThose newly diagnosed with cancer Criteria: Open to all active Hospice clients, caregivers, staff and those working in palliative care or a health-related field.

Children's Grief Support Group Healthy Living: Mind, Body, and Spirit Understanding Your Grief Other Hospice Wellness Programs

Peer support and grief-centered activities for children who have experienced the death of a loved one.

 

An 8-week healthy living support group geared to adults with a diagnosis.

 An 8-week support group for adults who are struggling after experiencing the death of a loved one. Palliative Care goes beyond just clinical needs. The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County supports patients and their loved ones in many ways through our Wellness Programs and Services.
Criteria: Ages 6-12 Criteria: Adults with a life-altering diagnosis Criteria: Individuals who have experienced a loss within the last year, with a connection to Hospice services At this time, we are reintroducing select programs virtually, in accordance with government and Ministry of Health guidleines and regulations.
Date: Last Thursday of each month, starting March 25, 2021  Date: 8 Week Session starting April 7, 2021 Date: 8 Week Session, starting April 7, 2021 We will be updating our website as more information becomes available
