We would like to thank all of the participants, volunteers, sponsors, and most especially the Damphouse family for the outstanding success of the first annual N’Joy Life Volleyball Tournament.

With a goal to raise $40,000, supporters throughout Windsor and Essex County came together to raise a whopping $50,000 for The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. and the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. From all of us at Hospice, thank you!

The N’Joy Life tournament is in memory of Joy Damphouse, whose courageous spirit and outstanding love of life inspired her husband, Jim, and children, Corie and Kyle, to organize this tournament.

It is an incredible testament to the strength of this family to use Joy’s fight against breast cancer as a way to touch thousands in the community.

On behalf of the Damphouse family and all of the patients and families who will benefit from their generosity, I would like to personally offer my thanks to more than 500 participants and 50 volunteers who made this event such a success.

It amazes me how generous and motivated the community is and how selflessly they give to support compassionate care in the region. None of us would be able to do it without you!

CAROL DERBYSHIRE, Executive Director, The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc., Windsor
