Job Type:                           Temporary Part time, up to 35 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday

Duties and Requirements:

Provide comprehensive administrative, clerical and general office support, utilizing specific knowledge of medical office procedures, statistical data collection management, meeting notes (minute taking), and presentation skills.  

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to proactively support the department of Patient and Family Services. 

Provide back up support for all positions within the clinical administrative team, including intake and service coordination.  This requires support for scheduled days or weeks in order to provide coverage for team members.

 

Qualifications:

  • Computer literacy with minimum capabilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of general software applications/databases.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills. 
  • Abide confidentiality following PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act) guidelines. 
  • An understanding of healthcare billing through MOHLTC (Ministry of Health and Long Term Care-OHIP)
  • Willingness to work a non-traditional and flexible schedule.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Bilingual French /English an asset.
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills.
  •  Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle time sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

 

Education:

  • Office Administration-Health Services two (2) year diploma preferred or at least five (5) years’ experience working in a clinical administrative position.
  • Experiential knowledge of community services and resources preferred.
