A Generous Donation to Ronald McDonald House Windsor from Hockey For Hospice

It was recently announced that the annual Hockey For Hospice tournament has pledged a donation of $4,500.00 of the tournament proceeds to Ronald McDonald House Windsor. The funds have been pledged to “refresh” Room #3 at the home. The renovations will expand the room from two beds to four. This expansion will allow so many more Windsor families to stay at Ronald McDonald house to be near their children when they need them most.

Ronald McDonald Houses provide families of sick children with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital. As well, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comfortable place for families to rest and recharge, right inside hospitals. So families can stay together and kids can heal better.

Hockey for Hospice involves over 130 teams and 2,000+ hockey players, over three days each December, and has raised over $2.9 Million towards Hospice services through the work of young hockey enthusiasts who canvass for pledges. Now in its 23rd year, Hockey for Hospice is proud of the work the children do and is even happier knowing that these kids are participating in their community by helping to raise funds, all while having fun playing hockey.
