We are excited to announce the 2019 Breakfast Club and Living with Hospice Education Series is now up!

The Hospice of Windsor is proud to announce a partnership with Families First to support the Education Centre, a community training program run by the Hospice Centre of Excellence. For the last thirty-six years, the Hospice has provided ongoing, continuing education to health care professionals, volunteers and caregivers throughout Windsor-Essex, striving to share our research and innovation in standards of palliative care excellence. The Education Centre was formally inaugurated in 2012 and provides two ongoing educational series throughout the year with Families First providing sponsorship and catered meals for each participant.

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club program is specifically targeted to health care professionals and provides continuing education in palliative care techniques and standards of excellence. This training is offered once each month, covering a variety of relevant topics and bringing together leading health care professionals throughout the region. All sessions run from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings unless otherwise noted. A light breakfast is provided courtesy of our partners at Families First. Registration is FREE by email registrations@thehospice.ca.

Erie Shores- Hospice Education Series

The Hospice Education series provides education for health care professionals, caregivers and volunteers, especially focusing on care techniques and coping mechanisms. Offered once each month in the evenings, this well-attended series is holistic in nature, creating an inter-professional model of care. All session run Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00pm at Church of the Ephiphany (106 Main St. West, Kingsville, ON) unless otherwise noted. A light meal will be served at 5:30pm.
